Claude 3: Build with Claude Code.

Walk in with a problem. Walk out
with a working tool you built yourself.

Friday 14 August, 9:00am to 12:30pm,

Beachside Conference and Events Centre, Tahnuna. $245 incl GST.

There is a gap in most small businesses: jobs too fiddly for a spreadsheet, too small to justify buying software. A quote calculator. An invoice checker. A follow-up tracker. The tool you wish existed.

Claude Code can build it. Your job is to direct: write a clear brief, check the plan it proposes, test what comes back, and ask for fixes in plain English. That is the skill this session teaches. It is a directing skill, not a coding skill.
We start with a finished tool built from a simple brief, so you can see the destination. Everyone then builds the same starter tool together. Then the main event: you build your own tool from your tool I wish existed worksheet, with facilitators on the floor while you work. Before we finish, you will wire your tool into the Cowork workflow you built at Claude 2, or turn it into a page you can share.

We are honest about the limits too. Some jobs you should never build yourself, and we spend proper time on exactly where that line sits.

Bring a laptop and a paid Claude account. Setup instructions come the week before, and we help you check everything works.

FAQ
Do I need to be able to code? No. Nobody writes a line of code. You direct in plain English.

What do I need to bring? A laptop you can install apps on, and a paid Claude account. Claude Pro (about US$20 a month) is the minimum; the free plan does not include Claude Code. If your workplace has Claude Team, check your seat: Standard seats do not include Claude Code, Premium seats do. Ask your admin to move you to a Premium seat for the course and enable usage credits so you do not run out during the workshop.

What if my setup does not work? We send setup instructions a week before, and run a help clinic from 8:40am on the day.

What should I build? We send a short worksheet beforehand to help you pick one specific job. One job, not forty. That is the secret.

Is this one for you?
This is a building session, not a beginner’s intro. You don’t need to have done Claude 2. You do need to be comfortable using Claude, and comfortable in Cowork from having used it before. Not an expert, but not opening it for the first time on the day. That’s the starting line, and we teach the building from there.
It suits owner-operators, ops and admin leads, marketing and comms people, and NFP staff who have a real job in mind that a spreadsheet can’t quite handle and off-the-shelf software doesn’t justify.
Brand new to Claude, or never used Cowork? Get in touch. We’ll point you to the right starting session and see you at this one next time.

Do I need to have done Claude 2?
No, but it would help. There’s no specific workshop you need to have finished. You do need to be comfortable using Claude, and to have used Cowork enough to be comfortable in it, because that’s what the session builds on. If that’s you, you’re  ready.

More than 6,000 people have walked through our doors since March 2024. We’ll figure out what works for you, too.
