The AI Sandbox is an inclusive discovery space in the Nelson CBD where all members of the community can drop in or schedule visits to gain safe, free access to AI tools and hands-on expertise.
It’s an unintimidating space for people to learn about AI tools and software. Ultimately, the project aims to empower and educate the Nelson-Tasman community in the use of artificial intelligence to create more prosperity, productivity, and opportunity in the region.
A not-for-profit subsidiary of the Nelson AI Institute, the Nelson AI Sandbox is run through the efforts of 20-30 volunteers and one employee, including 12 AI experts and enthusiasts, some associated with the Nelson AI Institute.”
